5 Easy Ways to Use Caravel Gourmet's Smoked Garlic and Onion Sea Salt in Recipes

Great as a rub on red meats, salmon, poultry and vegetables!

Smoked Garlic & Onion Pork Chop.   Do you know when to salt pork? Pork that is salted too soon can come out dry.   We recommend salting it right before you cook it for the best flavor and juiciest texture.   Generously sprinkle Caravel Gourmet's Smoked Garlic & Onion Sea Salt on all sides before preparing it.

Crispy Smoked Garlic & Onion Brussels Sprouts.   Using a hot oven and a short cooking time makes Brussels Sprouts deliciously crispy.   Cut the sprouts in half and toss in olive oil and Caravel Gourmet's Smoked Garlic & Onion Sea Salt, then arrange in one level on a baking sheet.   Roast for 10 minutes, then shake the sheet to make sure everything’s getting roasted.   Roast for 5-10 more minutes - once they seem like they’re getting nice and brown and crispy - and serve right away.

Sautéed Smoked Garlic & Onion Peas.   With either fresh or frozen peas, add to a pan with a pat of butter and sauté on low for a few minutes, until the peas are a bright green color and tender to the touch.   Add a bit more butter, and a bit of garlic. Don’t add Caravel Gourmet's Smoked Garlic & Onion Sea Salt until you’re ready to serve - this will dehydrate the peas, especially if they’re frozen.
Smoked Garlic & Onion Steak. Do you know when to salt your steak? If you’re cooking tomorrow, sprinkle Caravel Gourmet's Smoked Garlic & Onion Sea Salt tonight - letting the salt sit on the steak longer (up to overnight) will make the steak even better. Don’t have time? Then salt it right before you cook it (like, within 3 minutes).

Smoked Garlic & Onion Chicken.   You can salt a chicken two ways, depending on how much time you have.   If you’re going to cook in the next hour or two (up to 6 hours), make a brine - add ¼ cup Caravel Gourmet's   Smoked Garlic & Onion Sea Salt for every 1 cup hot water (dissolve the salt) and 1 cup ice water.   Take the pieces of chicken you’re going to cook, and add them to the brine.   If you’re going to cook 6 hours or more away, then coat the pieces in a healthy sprinkle of Caravel Gourmet's   Smoked Garlic & Onion Sea Salt, wrap them back up, and put them in the fridge.

YOUR FAVORITE FOOD JUST GOT BETTER
